CSC Certification Course

What is CSC?

• CSC (Common Services Centre) is a Digital India initiative under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY)
• Implemented through CSC e-Governance Services India Limited (CSC SPV)
• CSCs act as access points delivering government (G2C) and business (B2C) digital services to citizens, mainly in rural and semi-urban areas
• A certified CSC operator is known as a VLE — Village Level Entrepreneur

Eligibility to Register

• Indian citizen
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Minimum qualification: 10th pass (varies by state/category)
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to arrange the required centre infrastructure at your chosen location

Centre Infrastructure Required

• A dedicated space for your service centre (as per current CSC norms)
• Computer or laptop with an active internet connection
• Printer and scanner
• Power backup arrangement
• Biometric device and webcam for Aadhaar-enabled services

Documents You'll Need

• Aadhaar card
• PAN card
• A recent passport-size photograph
• Education certificate
• Address proof for the proposed centre location
• Bank account details

• Step 1: Apply online through the official CSC Registration Portal
• Step 2: Fill in your personal, location and infrastructure details
• Step 3: Complete Aadhaar-based eKYC verification

• Step 4: Complete the TEC (Telecentre Entrepreneur Course) certification, where applicable
• Step 5: Application review and approval by CSC SPV
• Step 6: Receive your CSC ID and VLE agreement to start operations

• Government (G2C) services — Aadhaar, PAN, certificates, utility bill payments
• Banking & Business Correspondent (BC) services
• Insurance facilitation

• Digital literacy and skill-training programmes
• Education and exam-related services
• Other citizen-facing digital services as notified by CSC SPV
